Immersive Learning: How Our Innovation Management Program Innovates Education

vgl231

At our Innovation Management (IM) programme, innovation is not just a subject of study – it is the essence of our entire approach. We believe the best way to learn about innovation is by actively engaging in it. Unlike many traditional programmes in both China and Denmark, we don’t just “talk the talk” about innovation. We walk the walk.

From the very first week, our students are immersed in the world of business, with classroom education reinforced by real-life experiences. Already during the first two weeks on the program, students have visited three leading companies, with more to come. These visits provide our students with a firsthand look at a wide range of industries and sectors.

  • Niebuhr Gears: Students witnessed cutting-edge manufacturing processes, learning how B2B companies operate at the highest levels of precision and efficiency.

  • Velux China: They faced their first innovation challenge, exploring smart building solutions and seeing how innovation can drive sustainability.

  • Microsoft Beijing Headquarters: Here, students got up close with the latest AI-driven technology, experiencing the future of innovation firsthand.

These experiences not only offer students a taste of what awaits them after graduation but also open doors to potential internships. Many of our students secure valuable work experience even before they finish their degree, giving them a real advantage in the competitive job market.

Beyond the academic insights, these company trips help foster a strong team spirit. Traveling together from Huairou to various locations in and around the Beijing area, students bond through shared experiences. Whether it’s participating in a quiz on the bus or collaborating on a challenge at a company, the ties between the students grow strong.

Our Innovation Management programme is more than just a course — it’s a community. It’s about learning, experiencing, and growing together as innovators. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and active participation of our IM students, and we’re excited to see where their journey will take them.
